On 5 October, the Central Election Commission (CEC) announced the final results of the early parliamentary elections held in Bulgaria on October 2.
According to the ballot papers found in the ballot box and the confirmed votes from the machine voting , a total of 2,601,963 people have voted.. The total number of valid votes was 2,592,907.
The option "I do not support anyone" was chosen by 87,635 voters.
No independent candidates were elected.
CEC Chairperson Kamelia Neykova also announced the allocation of MP seats in the next Parliament:
The centre-right GERB-Union of the Democratic Forces (UDF) coalition will have 67 seats
“We Continue the Change” party will have 53 seats.
The Movement for Rights and Freedoms (MRF) has won 36 seats.
“Vazrazhdane” party will have 27.
The centre-left Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP) won 25 seats.
Hristo Ivanov’s pro-reform “Democratic Bulgaria” coalition will have 20 seats.
“Bulgaria Ascending”, the party of the former caretaker PM, Stefan Yanev will have 12 seats.
The party of TV talk show presenter, Slavi Trifonov, “There is Such a People” has remained below the 4% threshold for entering Parliament, with 3,83% of the votes.
