"Democratic Bulgaria" will wait for the final results before commenting on the election in detail, the co-leader of "Democratic Bulgaria", Hristo Ivanov, wrote on Facebook on October 2.
"Today, however, I want to thank everyone who did not remain indifferent to the fate of Bulgaria and went to the polls. After these elections - which we repeatedly warned we should have avoided - we are getting an even more fragmented Parliament. And, unfortunately, it is the turn of all of us to pay the price for the political short-sightedness that pushed our country towards yet another snap election and missed the opportunity for a timely consolidation of the pro-reform parties.
Again, thank you all for taking part today in determining Bulgaria's destiny. Our path may be difficult, it may be frustrating, but it is important to walk it. There is no one to take Bulgaria forward if we do not take care to do it ourselves," Ivanov wrote.
