District Heating Sofia will make an adjustment of the tax rate, according to the additional instructions and opinion received today from the Ministry of Finance, the company said.
The adjustments will only apply to the reconciliation between the estimated energy charged during the accounting period and the actual energy consumed, as reflected in invoices after 9 July 2022.

A VAT rate of 20% will apply to the amounts to be refunded.
The 20% VAT rate will continue to apply to unpaid estimated energy invoices issued before 9 July 2022.
Any amounts due as a result of the adjustments will be reflected and refunded in the subscribers' accounts. Depending on the payment method chosen, the amounts will be deducted from the next invoice due or refunded to the cashier, the heating company specifies.
