Bulgaria’s caretaker Minister of Energy, Rosen Hristov, on October 5, met with representatives of the management of the Azeri state energy company SOCAR, headed by Murad Heydarov, CEO for the Balkans.
During the meeting, which took place at the Ministry of Energy, various opportunities for cooperation were discussed, touching upon issues of common interest for both countries in the field of natural gas and electricity.
SOCAR representatives expressed interest in cooperation with the Bulgarian side in a wide range of activities. Those present also commented on the idea of opening an office with the company's representation in Bulgaria.
The meetings were also attended by managers and experts from the Bulgarian state energy companies - BEH, NEC, ESO, Bulgargaz and Bulgartransgaz. Today's visit is a continuation of the talks held in Sofia during the official visit of the President of Azerbaijan last week.
