The incident happened at noon today.
Two women started drowning when the lifeguard from the 15th post came to their rescue. The holidaymakers were pulled out of the water alive with the help of other rescuers, but their colleague died at sea. Despite the medical attention he received, doctors were unable to save him.
The deceased rescuer was 69 years old.
