Prime Minister Kiril Petkov is in Greece to attend the official ceremony marking the completion of the construction of the Greece-Bulgaria Interconnector (IGB).

The event is taking place in the region of Komotini, where the Prime Ministers of Bulgaria and Greece are joined by Azerbaijan's Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov.

The Greece-Bulgaria gas interconnector will link the gas transmission networks of the two neighbouring countries, providing Bulgaria with access to the Southern Gas Corridor and a number of new sources of natural gas.
