The clearing continues in the villages of Bogdan, Karavelovo and Slatina. Over 600 volunteers pitched in to help flood-affected households. Those affected will also receive assistance from the state.
The ministers of regional development and interior Ivan Shishkov and Ivan Demerdzhiev will meet with the governor of Plovdiv Angel Stoev and the mayor of Karlovo Emil Kabaivanov.
An organization will be set up to provide funds to rebuild the broken roads, streets and bridges.
An analysis of the water and sewerage network is also being carried out to plan repairs following the damage.
The reconstruction of the settlements affected by the floods is expected to be a topic of today's meeting of the Council of Ministers.
