9,137 motor vehicles were checked during the ordered specialised police operation for compliance with the Road Traffic Law, reports the Ministry of Interior.
Over 12,299 drivers and passengers were supervised. Currently there are 2,467 tickets and 723 infringement notices given for ascertained administrative violations.

Emphasis in the operation is put on the prevention of driving by individuals who have consumed alcohol, narcotic drugs or similar substances, as well as driving by unauthorised individuals.
During the 5th day of the operation, 26 drivers who sat behind the wheel after consuming alcohol were caught - 17 of them were driving with an alcohol content between 0,5% and 1,2%, 9 with more than 1,2%. There were 14 drivers who were caught under the influence of narcotic drugs or similar substances.
