Poll: If elections were held today, GERB would get 21.5% support, WCC - 20.2%, TISP - out of Parliament

The difference in electoral support for "We Continue the Change" and GERB is minimal.

The reason is the ousting of the cabinet and Nikola Minchev from the post of Speaker of the Parliament. Support for "We Continue the Change" is 20.2% if elections took place, leaving the party just over 1% below former PM Boyko Borissov’s GERB, which are in first place with 21.5%, holding the largest share of support among those who would vote in elections. The Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP) is in third place with 11.5% support.

The party that triggered the political crisis "There is Such a People" marks a new loss of voters and in an election today would remain below the 4% threshold for enetering Parliament. Its support had dropped to 3.3%.

"Democratic Bulgaria" and "Vazrazhdane" are in dispute for the fifth place. If elections were held today, “Democratic Bulgaria” would have 7.1% support and Kostadinov's party 7.9%.

49.5% support a new government within the current parliament and 46.7% are in favour of early elections. Asked what the governing coalition should be, the prevailing preference is for a coalition around “We Continue the Change”.

Support for head of state President Rumen Radev has fallen, with his approval rating dropping by eight points between April and June, from 51 per cent to 43 per cent.

The poll found a wavering in support for the head of state President Rumen Radev. The sharp clashes of the ruling majority parties and the outgoing government with President Radev lead to a withdrawal of trust in him among some of his supporters who supported him a year ago.

Although he remains the most approved politician in the country, his approval ratings dropped by 8 points (from 51% in April to 43% in June) and negative ones increased by 7.

There are no significant dynamics in trust in political leaders.

The approval ratings for the two co-chairs of “We Continue the Change”, Kiril Petkov and Assen Vassilev were about the same, at about 23%, as were their disapproval ratings, at about 46%.

GERB leader Boyko Borissov’s approval rating was up by 1%, to 20.2%, while his disapproval rating was 57%.

BSP leader Ninova’s approval rating was 18.6%, with a 48.4% disapproval rating, largely unchanged compared with April.

There has been a more significant change in three other leaders.

“Democratic Bulgaria” co-leader Hristo Ivanov’s approval rating was up by 2%, while his disapproval rating dropped by 7 points.

For Kostadin Kostadinov and Slavi Trifonov there is a clear negative trend.

“Vazrazhdane” leader Kostadin Kostadinov’s approval rating dropped by 4%, while the approval rating of Trifonov dropped by 5%.
