A rally in support of the government is taking place tonight, July 8, outside Parliament.
Members of the public are demanding a "mafia-free Bulgaria" and a pro-European government, which they believe can only be achieved by a "We Continue the Change" cabinet.
Demonstrators said they were disappointed by today's return of the mandate. For a short period of time, outgoing Prime Minister Kiril Petkov's father also took part in the rally.
At the moment, the protest is proceeding peacefully, with an increased police presence, with no fences in front of the buidling of Parliament.
