President of the Republic of Armenia Vahagn Khachaturia is visiting Bulgaria on October 18 at the invitation of Head of State Rumen Radev. The visit is related to the 30th anniversary of the establishment of bilateral diplomatic relations between Bulgaria and Armenia.
President Vahagn Khachaturian was welcomed at “St. Alexander Nevski" square with an official ceremony and 21 artillery salutes. The two Presidents held a face-to-face meeting in the Presidency and chaired plenary talks between the official delegations.
"The fact that the President of Armenia is making his first visit to an EU country in Bulgaria is not accidental for me. Because there are excellent relations of sincere friendship between our two countries," President Rumen Radev said.
They also signed a joint declaration on the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Bulgaria and Armenia and a protocol on the establishment of an Armenian-Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Economy.
