The National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology has issued a code red weather alert (the highest level of warning) for dangerously high temperatures for four districts in Bulgaria tomorrow, July 16. These are Veliko Turnovo, Russe, Pleven and Blagoevgrad.
Temperatures will be between 37° and 42°, in Sofia - around 37°.
In the mountains it will be sunny, with insignificant clouds in the afternoon. There will be moderate to strong winds from the east-northeast along the ridges. Warm, with maximum temperature at 1200 m about 32°, at 2000 m it will be about 24°.
On the Black Sea coast it will be mostly sunny. Moderate wind will blow from the east-northeast. Maximum temperatures will be between 30° and 35°. The sea water temperature is 27°. Sea waves height will range from 10cm to 125 cm.
In Sofia, the sun will rise at 6.04 pm and set at 9.00 pm. Duration of the day 14 hours and 56 minutes. The moon sets at 1.23 pm and will rise at 4.38 pm.
