Deputy Prime Minister, Atanas Zafirov, on March 24 met with the Ambassador of Turkey to Bulgaria, Mehmet Sani Kuyanık.
The two discussed illegal migration, the economic dynamics between Bulgaria and Turkey, opportunities for further integration of Turkish businesses in Bulgaria, the visa regime for Turkish citizens, cooperation in defence, and energy security.
"Europe's security starts at its external borders. Turkey is a strategic partner for tackling migration and ensuring stability in the region," Zafirov noted.
