As a consequence of the heavy rains from last night, the largest state-owned enterprise in the military and industrial complex, Vazovski Mashinostroitelni Zavodi (VMZ) in the town of Sopot has stopped its production process, the Ministry of Economy reports on September 1.

There are flooded storage premises and production workshops. Electricity supply has been disconnected in the production part to prevent accidents.
Deputy Minister of Economy and Industry, Irina Shchonova, travelled to the plant to see the situation on the ground. If necessary, logistical assistance will be provided by other enterprises from the system of the Ministry of Economy and Industry.
