Bulgarian exports to the United Arab Emirates are twice as large as UAE imports to Bulgaria, Minister of Economy, Nikola Stoyanov, said on September 2 during the opening of a business forum organised by the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce during the visit of the Bulgarian delegation led by President Rumen Radev. 15 Bulgarian companies and 30 Emirati companies took part in the forum.
According to Stoyanov, trade between the two countries increased by 18% in the first half of the year. However, the investments of the United Arab Emirates last year amounted to only 3 million euros, which is why negotiations are currently in the final stage for signing an agreement that will encourage mutual investments.
