Ministry of Foreign Affairs: 7 people in Ukraine have applied to vote in Bulgaria's snap elections

So far, 7 people in ukraine have submitted applications to vote in Bulgaria's snap parliamentary elections scheduled for October 2, Bulgaria's Ministry of Foreign Affairs said on September 1.

The first group of diplomats to reopen the Bulgarian embassy there will leave on September 11 and if sufficient declarations and safe conditions can be provided, a polling station will be opened.

A total of 29,000 applications for voting abroad have been submitted so far.

After the anti-Bulgarian statements of Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama, the Albanian ambassador was summoned to the ministry. A meeting of our communities in Albania with the President is also being prepared and could take place by the end of next week.

On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the oldest organization of the Macedonian Bulgarians in the USA - the Macedonian Patriotic Organization, the President will send a plaque "St. st. Cyril and Methodius" and will greet them with a video address. At the Foreign Ministry briefing, it also became clear that Sofia will open three new consulates - in Edinburgh, Düsseldorf and Lyon because of the growing number of Bulgarians there.
