Power supply in all villages affected by the floods in the region of Karlovo has been restored

The power supply in all flooded villages has been restored, Karlovo municipality reports. By the end of the week, each of the settlements will be visited by electricians to describe the condition of the street lighting installation so that it can also be restored.

The water supply has been partially restored, currently the village of Bogdan is completely without water. Work is underway to build temporary water connections as the old network is almost completely destroyed.

The clearing of riverbeds is also ongoing. In the village of Slatina, the riverbed is already 1. 5 meters below the street level. In the village of Bogdan the level has been lowered to 2 meters below the street level, but the excavation works are continuing as there is more sediment. The 4-meter high dikes that surround the rivers are being strengthened.

The water in the whole municipality of Karlovo is still unfit for drinking and cooking. If the ban is lifted by the RHIs, the Crisis Management will notify the population in a timely manner.
