The motorway remained closed to traffic for three hours
A 63-year-old woman and an 8-year-old girl were killed in a car accident minutes after midnight on Struma motorway near Boboshevo, Western Bulgaria.
The serious road accident occurred on the 75th km in the direction of Sofia.
A car was hit by a van, three people were injured and two died. The motorway was closed for three hours.
After the admission of the injured to the emergency room of the hospital in Blagoevgrad, tension arose between medics and relatives of the deceased.
Two patrols arrived and together with the hospital security restored order.
The reasons for the accident are being clarified. The motorway in the direction of Sofia is now re-opened to traffic.
