Bulgarian actress Maria Bakalova will be part of the jury of the "CineLibri" festival. This was announced by the organisers of the festival on their Facebook page.
Bakalova is the first Bulgarian actress nominated for Oscar, BAFTA and Golden Globe for her performance in the film "Borat 2" by Sacha Barron Cohen. The actress has also had significant roles in Bulgarian films - "Women Do Cry", "Last Call", "Transgression". We are going to see her in the new film directed by Kristina Grozeva and Petar Valchanov, entitled "Triumph", will be Bulgaria's International Feature Film submission for the 2025 Academy Awards.
Guillaume Canet, one of the most famous stars of contemporary French cinema, will be the chair of the jury in the feature film competition of the tenth edition of the CineLibri. The other members of the jury will be writer Christine Lehens, actress Anne Cusack and writer Daniel Kehlmann.
