Coronavirus in Bulgaria: 1,087 new cases

The newly confirmed cases of coronavirus in Bulgaria over the past 24 hours are 1,087 from 6,205 tests, the daily report on the National Information Portal shows on August 19.

Test positivity rate is 17,51%.

The total lab-confirmed cases in the country since the start of the epidemic are 1,231,909.

The active cases are 16,635.

Of the total, 1,017 patients are in hospitals, 49 of them being in intensive care.

During the past 24 hours:

• 2,751 recoveries;

• 2.453 administered doses of Covid-19 vaccines;

• 10 Covid-19 related deaths.

Of the daily cases, 66,88% had not been vaccinated.

Of those who died, 90,00% had not been vaccinated.

There were 130 new hospitalisations, of which 80,00% had not been vaccinated.
