Coronavirus in Bulgaria: 1862 new cases

The newly confirmed cases of coronavirus in Bulgaria over the past 24 hours are 1,862 from 7,820 tests, the daily report on the National Information Portal shows on July 20.

The test positivity rate is around 24%.

The total lab-confirmed cases in the country since the start of the epidemic are 1,189,000.

The active cases are 14,209.

Of the total, 790 patients are in hospitals, 42 of them being in intensive care.

During the past 24 hours:

• 509 recoveries;

• 3,660 administered doses of Covid-19 vaccines;

• 6 Covid-19 related death.

Of the daily cases, 65.09% had not been vaccinated.

Of those who died, 83.33% had not been vaccinated.

There were 145 new hospitalisations, of which 73.10% had not been vaccinated.
