Coronavirus in Bulgaria: 1,944 new cases

The newly confirmed cases of coronavirus in Bulgaria over the past 24 hours are 1,944 from 7,833 tests, the daily report on the National Information Portal shows on July 28.

Test positivity rate is 24.8%.

The total lab-confirmed cases in the country since the start of the epidemic are 1,202,494

The active cases are 21,924.

Of the total, 968 patients are in hospitals, 50 of them being in intensive care.

During the past 24 hours:

• 902 recoveries;

• 3,941 administered doses of Covid-19 vaccines;

• 6 Covid-19 related deaths.

Of the daily cases, 62.14% had not been vaccinated.

Of those who died, 83.33% had not been vaccinated.

There were 145 new hospitalisations, of which 76.55% had not been vaccinated.
