Coronavirus in Bulgaria: 2,610 new cases, 24 deaths

The newly confirmed cases of coronavirus in Bulgaria over the past 24 hours are 2,610 from 10,204 tests, the daily report on the National Information Portal shows on August 2.

Test positivity rate is 25,58%.

The total lab-confirmed cases in the country since the start of the epidemic are 1,209,777

The active cases are 25,157.

Of the total, 1,000 patients are in hospitals, 59 of them being in intensive care.

During the past 24 hours:

• 1,610 recoveries;

• 1,594 administered doses of Covid-19 vaccines;

• 24 Covid-19 related deaths.

Of the daily cases, 64.52% had not been vaccinated.

Of those who died, 95.83% had not been vaccinated.

There were 275 new hospitalisations, of which 79.27% had not been vaccinated.
