Coronavirus in Bulgaria: 842 new cases

The newly confirmed cases of coronavirus in Bulgaria over the past 24 hours are 842 from 5,149 tests, the daily report on the National Information Portal shows on July 8.

The test positivity rate is slightly over 16%.

The total lab-confirmed cases in the country since the start of the epidemic are 1,176,567.

The active cases are 17,405.

Of the total, 440 patients are in hospitals, 37 of them being in intensive care.

During the past 24 hours:

• 10,010 recoveries;

• 2,548 administered doses of Covid-19 vaccines;

• 1 Covid-19 related death.

Of the daily cases, 63,90% had not been vaccinated.

Of those who died, 100,00% had not been vaccinated.

There were 76 new hospitalisations, of which 78,95% had not been vaccinated.
