Coronavirus in Bulgaria: 866 new cases, positivity rate over 16%

The newly confirmed cases of coronavirus in Bulgaria over the past 24 hours are 866 from 5,189 tests, the daily report on the National Information Portal shows on July 6.

The test positivity rate is over 16%.

The largest number of new cases was registered in Sofia (301) and Bourgas (102).

Of the total, 417 patients are in hospitals, 33 of them being in intensive care.

During the past 24 hours:

• 9,372 recoveries;

• 1,681 administered doses of Covid-19 vaccines;

• 1 Covid-19 related death.

Of the daily cases, 58,32% had not been vaccinated.

Of those who died, 100,00% had not been vaccinated.

There were 70 new hospitalisations, of which 78,57% had not been vaccinated.
