Coronavirus in Bulgaria: Daily cases rise to 2,318

The newly confirmed cases of coronavirus in Bulgaria over the past 24 hours are 2,318 from 9,804 tests, the daily report on the National Information Portal shows on August 9.

Test positivity rate is 23,6%.

The total lab-confirmed cases in the country since the start of the epidemic are 1,219,883.

The active cases are 25,915.

Of the total, 1,084 patients are in hospitals, 50 of them being in intensive care.

During the past 24 hours:

• 3,538 recoveries;

• 1,767 administered doses of Covid-19 vaccines;

• 16 Covid-19 related deaths.

Of the daily cases, 66.48% had not been vaccinated.

Of those who died, 100.00% had not been vaccinated.

There were 260 new hospitalisations, of which 76.92% had not been vaccinated.

The total number of people with completed primary vaccination course is 2,066,000.
