Bulgaria’s Council of Ministers has allocated BGN 1 million to fund the Taraclia State University "Grigorii Tsamblak" in Moldova.
The money is on account of the expenses foreseen under Article 1, paragraph 5, item 11.2 of the Law on the State Budget of the Republic of Bulgaria for 2022.
The provision of the funds will contribute to overcoming the financial problems faced by the higher education institution. Improving the educational practices and the material and technical base of the university would have a positive effect on its development and would contribute to increasing interest in it among students and candidate students from the Bulgarian community in the Republic of Moldova, the government press service said.
The provision of grant financial support from Bulgaria to Taraclia State University is in line with the consistent and purposeful policy of the Government of the Republic of Bulgaria to guarantee and implement the rights and interests of the Bulgarian communities abroad, in compliance with local legislation and the norms of international law, the Council of Ministers further said.
