The European Public Prosecutor's Office secured acceess to the building of Bulgartransgaz.
According to unconfirmed information, the European Delegated Prosecutor Dimitar Belichev entered the building and documents were collected that concern an investigation of the European Public Prosecutor's Office, which is not conducted in Bulgaria.
The subject of the probe is natural gas supplies through the Balkan gas transit network from Turkey to European Union countries.
According to unofficial information, the actions of the European Public Prosecutor's Office are related to the inspections carried out in recent weeks by the European Commission on the supply of natural gas to Europe by the Turkish company Botas and the conditions under which the blue fuel is supplied and whether, in the implementation of these supplies, there is any possibility of circumventing the sanctions against Russia - whether it is possible that molecules of Russian gas, which would be difficult to prove, could get into the gas supplied to the European market.
