No one has been injured
A large fire broke out in the area of the village of Senokos, Simitli municipality, Southwestern Bulgaria on August 1. Big clouds of smoke are visible from the neighbouring villages. The fire started about 15.30. Four houses were burnt down. There are no injured people according to initial information.

People are worried and waiting for evacuation orders. The fire is spreading very fast and is heading towards the pine forests of Mount Pirin. The risk is huge. The terrain is very difficult to access.

In 2017, a huge fire burned for 10 days in the area, which reached from Mechkul to the village of Vlahi.
