A massive wildfire broke out between the villages of Kolarovo and Izvorovo, Southern Bulgaria, on August 12. The municipality of Harmanli declared a state of emergency.
Vineyards, dry grasses are burning. 10 fire fighting teams are on the ground together with forestry officials.
At this stage there is no danger to the population, said the district governor;s ofice of Haskovo.
Due to the high temperatures, the fire is growing, cannot be contained, may affect settlements and may spread to neighbouring Stara Zagora district.
