A man and a child were struck by lightning in the Balkan Mountains. The signal was received by the Ministry of the Interior around 13.30 on July 22. The police immediately got in touch with mountain rescuers, who are travelling to the scene.
It is in the area of Kupena peak and is at a height of over 2000 metres.
It is not yet known what the condition of the man and the child is, as the rescuers are still trevelling, the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Interior in Lovech told BNT.
A military helicopter from Krumovo is travelling to the site, with rescuers expected to reach the man and child any moment, the Mountain Rescue Service informed.
