A 33-year-old man was injured in a domestic violence incident in Stara Zagora, Southern Bulgaria, the press centre of the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Interior said on June 11.
A report of the incident was received last night at about 19.00 at the First Regional Police Station in the district town. The victim explained that during an argument in his home in Stara Zagora, his 35-year-old girlfriend inflicted cut injuries on him.
The man was treated as an outpatient at the Emergency Medical Care Centre and was hospitalised in the General Hospital for Active Treatment "Prof. Dr. Stoyan Kirkovich" - Stara Zagora with wounds in the left arm and body. His condition is not life-threatening.
The woman was detained for up to 24 hours. Pre-trial proceedings have been initiated in the case.
