PM will convene the Security Council after consultations with NATO allies

The explosion of the two missiles near Poland's border with Ukraine, which killed civilians, requires an urgent rethink of our next steps to keep the peace. We are in constant contact with NATO allies and EU partners. This was stated by the caretaker Prime Minister, Mr. Galab Donev, at the beginning of today's regular meeting of the Council of Ministers, November 16.

"We are closely following the course of the investigation, restrained tone and statements based on facts are mandatory. Because we are talking about war. Tinkering with words is unnecessary. Any assumptions before the facts and circumstances surrounding the incident on Polish territory are clarified would be speculation, which carries the risk of escalation of the conflict and its possible expansion," caretaker Prime Minister Donev said.

He also announced that he would convene the Security Council of the Council of Ministers as soon as the outcome of the consultations with NATO allies was clear. We should continue with efforts to restore peace and security in the region through diplomacy, the PM added.
