A cannabis farm was discovered by police officers from the District Police Department of Kyustendil and the police stations in Dupnitsa in the land of the village of Slatino. During a specialised police operation yesterday, July 31, in the locality of Dhingo, the police officers found 2,235 cannabis plants, about 180 cm high.
The area of the farm has an irrigation system, has sheds for drying the finished products and is guarded by video surveillance. There was also a field camp with sleeping accommodation for five people, a kitchen and a bathroom.
During the operations carried out at the cannabis farm, seven bags of dried leaves were also seized, which reacted to marijuana in the field test. The total weight of the narcotic substance found was 20.065 kg.
A 52-year-old man from Petrich was arrested in the case and charged by a prosecutor from the Kyustendil district Prosecutor’s office.
In addition to the drugs, eight mobile phones and plant protection products were seized. The work continues within the pre-trial proceedings.
