Bulgaria’s Head of State, Rumen Radev, congratulated President of the United States of America, Joe Biden, and the American people on the occasion of the country's Independence Day - July 4.
In the context of the friendly relations and strategic dialogue between Bulgaria and the United States, President Radev noted the importance of consistent and targeted efforts to further deepen bilateral relations in key areas of mutual interest. These include investment, innovation, trade, security and defence, energy security and diversification, green energy, as well as promoting contacts between the citizens of the two countries.
In his congratulatory address, the Head of State pointed out that Bulgaria's admission to the US Visa Waiver Programme, as well as the conclusion of a bilateral Social Security Agreement, will lead to progress on key issues on the bilateral agenda.
The Bulgarian President further stated that only by working together within the framework of allied relations can the many crises and challenges that threaten to undermine regional and global security and prosperity be countered.
