On Friday, September 13, President Rumen Radev will take part in a demonstration flight of an F-16 fighter jet at the invitation of the US Air Force, the Head of State's press secretariat said on September 12.
The Head of State will present Brigadier General Tad Clark, Commander of the 31st Fighter Wing of the US Air Force at Aviano Air Base in Italy, with the Presidential Badge of Honour at the Graf Ignatyevo Air Base. The award is a recognition for his significant contribution to the strategic defense cooperation between Bulgaria and the United States.
On 14 September, Saturday, at 10.00 a.m., President Rumen Radev will take part in the open flying day at Graf Ignatyevo Air Base to mark the 20th anniversary of Bulgaria's accession to NATO and the 35th anniversary of the MiG-29 aircraft's induction into the Bulgarian Air Force.
