Protesters outside Sofia University on August 10 moved the tent camp to the area in front of the Council of Ministers. They said the move was a sign of good will.
The other two blocked crossroads – the one at the Council of Ministers and at Orlov most (Eagles’ Bridge) - remain blocked to traffic.
Day 32 of protests in Sofia last night ended with a torchlight procession and closing traffic at Tsarigradsko Shosse bulevard in the section to Pliska hotel.
Sunday protests included a motorcade to a border checkpoint and a bicycle procession to another border checkpoint.
In Sofia, protesters threw eggs and tomatoes at the building of the Council of Ministers.
The demands of the protesters remain unchanged: resignation of the government and the chief Prosecutor.
On August 9, on the 32nd day of protests demanding the resignation of his government ,Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borissov, posted on Facebook that it was “time for a decision”.
Borissov posted on Facebook a photograph of himself with his two grandchildren.
Sources of the public broadcaster Bulgarian National Television said that Prime Minister Boyko Borissov had ordered the police not to take actions to remove road blockades by tent camps erected by protesters.
Tent camps that for several days were in place in Sofia, as well as in Bulgaria’s second largest city of Plovdiv and the coastal city of Varna, were lifted by police on August 7.
In Sofia, protesters put them back. In Varna, they also were re-erected on the pavement outside the GERB municipal headquarters, without interfering with traffic.
In his Facebook post referring PM, said: “Home is where they smile. It is always good to talk to a child, the best decisions come from them. Time for their smiles and my decisions”.
