Seven people have been arrested and charged with helping Afghan and Syrian nationals cross illegally into the country. This was announced at a police briefing in Plovdiv on June 17.
The briefing included Petar Petrov - district prosecutor, Dimitar Kostov - prosecutor in the Regional Prosecutor's Office in Plovdiv, Commissioner Marian Mitkov - head of department 11 at the General Directorate for Combating Organised Crime and Ivan Kukov - department 11 at the General Directorate for Combatting Orgnaised Crime.
