Six people were injured after a bus overturned near the town of Radnevo, Southern Bulgaria. Four of the passengers are in hospital for treatment. A 47-year-old woman is in life-threatening condition with multiple injuries. Two other women, aged 73 and 74, and a 50-year-old man are with minor injuries, without a risk for their lives.
A 22-year-old man and a 46-year-old woman were examined by the medical emergency teams at the scene. Their condition did not necessitate hospitalisation.
The accident occurred on the Stara Zagora-Radnevo road shortly before 7 p.m. yesterday, September 10, the regional directorate of the Ministry of Interior said.
According to initial information, a Volkswagen bus carrying passengers, driven by a 50-year-old man, self-crashed and the vehicle went off the side of the road and overturned.
The driver was tested for alcohol but his sample was negative.
Pre-trial proceedings have been initiated in the Radnevo police station.
