A wildfire broke out in the area of the airport in the coastal city of Burgas on July 11. The flames were metres away from the runway.
The fire affected dry grass and treesnear the northern bypass of the main road Sunny Beach-Burgas .
Two fire engines were dispatched to the scene, and the airport's fire fighting crew was also involved in battling the flames. Thanks to the quick response of the teams, the fire was brought under control.
At the same time, a second fire occurred near the Saltworks. One of the fire engines headed to the site of the second outbreak to battle the flames. The causes of the two fires are not clear yet.
