A train hit a car at a level crossing with the light and sound signal working on the way to the village of Bangeytsi, (Central Northern Bulgaria) Dencho Minev, the mayor of Tryavna, announced on September 5.
Two people were travelling in the car, the driver died on the spot and his companion was seriously injured and was taken to hospital. The accident happened around 10:00 this morning, and traffic at the level crossing was temporarily stopped, but has been resumed. The investigation into the case is ongoing.
Earlier in the day, the Bulgarian Railway Company reported another similar incident in which a person was killed and another injured.
