Ukraine will rely on Bulgaria's assistance in the areas of agriculture, medicine and construction, the Ambassador of Ukraine to Bulgaria Vitaly Moskalenko said at a business forum in Rousse on December 7.
The meeting, organised by the Bulgarian-Ukrainian Chamber of Industry, was attended by about 50 Bulgarian and 50 Ukrainian companies, most of them online. In the past 3 years, the trade between the two countries in exports amounted to 1.5 billion USD, and for the nine months of this year it amounted to 2 billion USD. Ambassador Moskalenko said that Ukraine's economic recovery will rely on the already established bilateral business relations.
"If we talk about recovery - construction, electric power complex, naturally in the chemical industry, food industry, metallurgy, agriculture, medicine. By the way, in the field of medicine, Bulgaria and we have quite stable ties, as we receive many medicines, medicinal preparations from Bulgaria, as well as special medical devices, etc. I hope that this forum will contribute quite impressively to the development of economic relations between the two countries in this complicated period for Ukraine," said H.E. Vitaly Moskalenko.
During the Forum, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the Bulgarian-Ukrainian Chamber of Industry and the Ukrainian-Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
