Varna with the highest COVID-19 infection rate in the country

Varna has the highest COVID-19 infection rate in the country. The infected in the municipality are 321 per 100 000 people.

There are no anti-epidemic measures implemented in the municipality yet. Such measures were discussed at a meeting of the municipal crisis headquarters yesterday. It is expected that an order from the director of the Regional Health Inspectorate will be issued by the end of the day.

From today, masks are mandatory for public transport, pharmacies, optics centres, health institutions and social service institutions in Dobrich and Yambol. In Burgas, masks were implemented in the pharmacies, hospitals, health centres and nursing homes yesterday.

The infection rate in the country is currently at 204 infected per 100 000 people.
