President Rumen Radev will start consultations on forming a government when he decides and will do so at the appropriate time, Bulgaria’s Vice President, Iliana Iotova, said on October 24 and called on the emotions in the Parliament to pass and the MPs to start the real work.
Iotova commented on the political situation during the annual meeting of local authorities in the Bulgarian seaside resort of Albena. According to the Vice President, it is important how the National Assembly will start its work tomorrow with its extraordinary sitting.
"Will this confrontation and inability to make quick decisions spill over to the budget discussion? The first signals are not good. Definitely, as you can see, some former finance ministers have already started with threats, they have started with harsh qualifications. This should not be the conversation, because today all these people who are gathered in Albena, because the municipalities are the voice of Bulgaria, are waiting for the adoption of the budget, waiting for the European funds to be released, the recovery plan," Iotova said.
