Bulgaria's Council of Ministers condemned the attack on Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico

We strongly condemn the attack on Robert Fico, we wish him a speedy recovery, strength and courage to his family, the Bulgarian government wrote on X, in connection with the shooting against the Slovak Prime Minister after a government meeting on Wednesday, May 15.

Slovak Prime Minister, Robert Fico, was shot after a government meeting in the town of Handlova, about 180 km from Bratislava. Fico was attacked outside a cultural centre while going to meet his supporters. According to eyewitnesses, at least four shots were heard.

The Slovak Prime Minister was allegedly shot in the abdomen and, according to unconfirmed information, in the head.
