Coronavirus in Bulgaria: 1,147 new cases

The newly confirmed cases of coronavirus in Bulgaria over the past 24 hours are 1,147 from 7,729 tests, the daily report on the National Information Portal shows on October 18.

The total lab-confirmed cases in the country since the start of the epidemic are 1,271,228.

The active cases are 10,408.

Of the total, 679 patients are in hospitals, 54 of them being in intensive care.

During the past 24 hours:

• 1,046 recoveries;

• 884 administered doses of Covid-19 vaccines;

• 11 Covid-19 related deaths.

Of the daily cases, 61,29% had not been vaccinated.

Of those who died, 63,64% had not been vaccinated.

There were 143 new hospitalisations, of which 71,33% had not been vaccinated.
