Joint Declaration on strengthening the strategic partnership between the two countries to be signed in Baku
On May 8, Head of State Rumen Radev will pay an official visit to Azerbaijan at the invitation of his counterpart President Ilham Aliyev. The delegation led by the Bulgarian President includes the caretaker Minister of Energy, the Chairman of the Bulgaria-Azerbaijan Friendship Group in the National Assembly and business representatives.
Strengthening and deepening the bilateral strategic partnership in areas of mutual interest, including the economy, energy, high technologies, innovation, transport and tourism will be the focus of President Rumen Radev's visit.
The Bulgarian Head of State will be welcomed with an official ceremony by the President of Azerbaijan. Rumen Radev and Ilham Aliyev will hold a one-to-one meeting and chair plenary talks between the delegations of the two countries, after which they will sign a joint declaration on strengthening the strategic partnership between Bulgaria and Azerbaijan.
In Baku, President Rumen Radev will meet with Speaker of the Parliament of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Prof. Dr Sahiba Gafarova. He will also hold talks with Bulgarian specialists working in the field of sports in Azerbaijan.
During his visit to Azerbaijan, the Bulgarian Head of State will be accompanied by his wife Dessislava Radeva.
