Three transplants performed after donor situation in Stara Zagora hospital

Three people received a second chance at life after the relatives of a 43-year-old man made the noble decision to donate his organs. The donation situation was implemented by a team of the University Hospital "Prof. Dr. Stoyan Kirkovich" - Stara Zagora, with coordinator Dr. Georgi Arabadzhiev.

As a result, a 40-year-old woman was given a chance for life after a team of the Military Medical Academy led by prof. Ivelin Takorov, performed another successful liver transplant.

At the Alexandrovska University Hospital, two medical teams from the Urology Clinic, led by Prof. Dr. Marincho Georgiev and Prof. Dr. Krasimir Yanev, transplanted kidneys into two men aged 35 and 39. No other organs were transplanted for medical reasons.

According to the medical institutions, the patients are in good general condition and remain under medical supervision in the intensive care units.

The Ministry of Health and the Executive Agency for Medical Supervision offer their sincere condolences to the man's relatives and express their gratitude and respect for the noble decision taken at a difficult time to save lives.
