Two trains have collided head-on at the central railway station in Sofia, BNT learned from its sources on May 28.

According to the information available to BNT, around 16.50 today two trains performing a shunting collided. Two women were slightly injured in the collision.

BDZ Passenger Transport website says that the Sofia-Burgas and Sofia-Plovdiv express trains are at a standstill at the station due to an accident on the track. The train to Plovdiv was due to depart at 16.20 and the train to Burgas at 16.40.
The suburban passenger train Sofia - Ihtiman is running 23 minutes late.
