The decision of the Constitutional Court proved the "captured state", said the co-chair of We Continue the Change-Democratic Bulgaria, Kiril Petkov, in a post on Facebook after the Constitutional Court declared unconstitutional part of the changes in the basic law related to the judicial reform.
Constitutional Court declares most constitutional changes as invalid
"Is there justice in Bulgaria? Do the Prosecutor’s office and the judiciary work for the people? I think not!", Petkov wrote.
"I am convinced that the current system is set up so that there are people in the whole structure who do not work for justice, but for maintaining the 'captured state'.
Petkov gives the example of the election of the acting Prosecutor General Borislav Sarafov, when according to him the entire Supreme Judicial Council voted as one. “As if someone pressed the ENTER button on them,” he said. “Today, after the Constitutional Court's decision, it has become clear that the system of the 'captured state' wants to maintain this lack of justice," he said.
